Gujarat diamond enterprise people leaving Surat in hundreds amid uncertainty

Surat Luxury Bus Operators Association president Dinesh Andhan claimed that on an average, 300 buses carrying almost 6,000 people, normally diamond enterprise workers, depart from Surat each and every day for Saurashtra and north Gujarat, from the place these employees had come right here in search of work.
"While almost 6,000 people are leaving the metropolis in luxurious buses, some 4,000 are leaving in cars, vehicles and different cars each and every day. Many are leaving with their belongings. Bus operators are no longer charging them for their baggage and assets being being accommodated on pinnacle of the buses," he instructed PTI.
When contacted, Surat Municipal Commissioner Banchhanidhi Pani said they do not have the figures of these leaving the city.
However, Andhan stated they are witnessing a larger rush of humans leaving the town now than what it used to be in the course of the Diwali vacations.
